The Walther PPQ is a short recoil-operated locked breech semi-automatic pistol that uses a modified Browning cam-lock system adapted from the Hi-Power pistol. The PPQ has a glassfiber-reinforced polymer frame and steel slide assembly. It can be broken down into its main parts or field stripped with a take down catch without the help of tools.

Description

The internal preset striker ‘Quick Defense’ trigger of the PPQ is a departure of previous Walther pistols and has been developed for the PPQ.[9] When the trigger is pulled the trigger bar engages a disconnect lever, which props up a sear hook, which releases the fully pre-loaded striker assembly, firing the pistol. Pulling the trigger does not partially load the striker spring as with the Glock and many other striker fired pistol designs. The PPQ trigger pull is entirely due to the trigger and disconnector springs.

The PPQ has a trigger travel of approximately 9 mm (0.4 in) with a relatively short trigger reset of 2.5 mm (0.1 in) and a trigger pull of approximately 25 N (5.6 lbf). Unlike many other trigger systems, preset internal strikers have a let-off point and trigger pull that remains unchanged from the first shot to the last and requires no decocker. It should however be noted that the striker of the PPQ variant does not protrude from the back of the slide, as the firearm is in a constant cocked state.

Federal firearms laws prevents shipping firearms directly to individuals without a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL), however we can ship them to an FFL Dealer in your area.

To purchase a firearm and have it shipped, you must complete the following steps listed below before we can process your order and ensure a trouble free transaction.

Complete your firearm purchases by clicking the "Add to cart" button under the product(s) of your choice and completing the checkout process including making your payment.
Find an FFL dealer near you that will accept the transfer of the firearm for you. This can be your local Gun Shop, Pawn Shop, Gun Range or any other location that holds a current FFL and will help you your transfer.
Contact your FFL dealer and tell them you would like to transfer a firearm from South Mountain Firearms. This transfer and any associated fees are between you and the FFL doing the transfer.
Have your licensed FFL dealer mail a signed copy of their FFL to:

Once we have received a signed copy of your FFL/dealer’s license performing the transfer and payment has been processed we will ship the firearm to your FFL/dealer.
We will send an email with the tracking number when the firearm is shipped.
Once your FFL/dealer receives your firearms, they will perform your background check. You will then complete all the necessary paperwork and pick up firearm.

Note: Ammunition and Firearms must be purchased separately, in two separate orders. Also, includes your name and order number on any correspondence you send to South Mountain Firearms.
